Very cool retro style paintings based on video games and comics

These pieces or art caught my eye when I saw them on Kotaku. They are paintings done by a lady called Kelli. Many of the pieces are based on retro video game characters such as Link, Mega man and Waluigi, and also famous comic book characters such as Batman and Wolverine. I wonder if Kelli entered the iam8bit contest because I think she could have done quite well. Kelli’s husband says on Kotaku, “We’re both incurable game nerds,”. This definitely shows in the art as you cant tell they have not just been copied out of magazine but done by someone that actually enjoys the game.
