Welcome to the first ever retro carnival. It took a while due to some problems along the way. I hope everyone enjoys it and I look forward to everyone’s posts next time.
Joe Kissell presents Tiki: Interesting Thing of the Day posted at Interesting Thing of the Day, saying, “You’d probably recognize a Tiki bar if you walked into one, but what is Tiki exactly? This faux Polynesian culture (along with the fruity drinks) is a pure American invention.”
Chris Dolley presents The 1974 Cornish Revolution - True Story, Great Hoax. posted at Author Chris Dolley’s Page, saying, “I’m an English author (Resonance, Baen; Shift, Baen) living and writing in France. This is a fun story from my student days back in 1974.”
Tarrant presents The Meal Planner’s Creed posted at Retro Food.
Artem presents Up for Ajax Battleship? Play Sink My Ship posted at Solution Watch, saying, “An awesome implementation of a classic game Battleship.”
Kevin presents Seventeen Magazine?s Questions Answered posted at Pointless Banter.
Tam Hanna presents Classic PalmOS handhelds posted at TamsPalm-the Palm OS Blog, saying, “A few really classic Palm OS handhelds that we used to love in the past…it can’t get more old-school than this!”
Al Weisel presents Live Fast, Die Young: The Wild Ride of Making Rebel Without a Cause Excerpt posted at Rebel Without a Cause - Live Fast, Die Young, saying, “An excerpt from my book about the making of Rebel Without a Cause.”
Mortimer Randolph presents “Who’s scruffy-lookin’?” posted at Subject to Review, saying, “A bit of rampant discourse on the Star Wars “cannon,” different from the hundreds of posts like it only in that it will probably enrage the reader no matter his view of Star Wars”
Curt Purcell presents The Groovy Age of Horror: The Giallo posted at Groovy Age of Horror, saying, “Although I focus much more on paperbacks than movies at Groovy Age, I really like this post, and it got a lot of positive feedback, so here it is!”
Patrick presents The Legend of Zelda: The Hero of Time Movie Trailer posted at Ironic Gamer, saying, “The Legend of Zelda: The Hero of Time Movie Trailer”
Tahir presents My Tetris Nightmare. This is my contribution and I hope you enjoy it.
So that concludes the first edition. Thanks to everyone that took time out to get involved. Submit your blog article to the next edition of The Retro Carnival using our carnival submission form. Past posts and future hosts can be found on our blog carnival index page.
