Gnome has featured some poo / turd posts on his great blog (Gnomes Lair) recently. So now I have poo thoughts stuck in my head. The first thing I thought of was Mr Hanky, the Christmas poo from a early South Park Episode. The early episodes of South Park were great and in my opinion the best ones. The episode featuring Mr Hanky was and is still one of my favourite. I mean how often do you see a singing Poo? If you want to watch the episode it is episode 10 from season one. Above is a little teaser of what to expect.

If you want some poo to put on your shelf then these toys should be just what you are looking for

First up is “The Turds“. These are stunning pieces of turds with character. Above is Smell boy and below is Count Crapula. Just a few of the cool ones but there are a lot more great ones.

Next up is Gunther created by Nanospore. This is a part of a great collection of vinyl toys but what would rather have a graffiti can shaped vinyl toy or a poo shaped vinyl toy?

Lastly you probably know that Poo is number 2 so number 1 is missing. Fear not because the Pee and Poo set is here. The best thing about these is that you will be able to cuddle them as they are plush toys.

Now if you want to control some poo then you are in luck my friend. Gnome has found these games for you to play at Funsta. The 5 games are Donkey Pong, Bogger, Dungbeetle Rally, Poobert and Turd Heroes: Men in Cack. All these games are remakes of well known retro video games. They are all good time wasters with some great cheesy game opening lines. My favourite is “all you have to do is use your kung poo skills to release the turds by beating the living crap out of them” from Turd Heroes.

If this is not enough for you then I have one last thing for all you poo fans, Poop Report Comics. We all love comics so some senseless childish poop humour is the perfect way to finish off. .

This post was heavily inspired by Gnome.

UPDATE: I just came across this at Candy Addict. A Litterbox Cake. A cake filled with turd shaped chocolates. Here is a little quote taken from Tacky Living about the cake

“Litterbox Cake is a moist, tasty medley of cake and instant pudding accented with green cookie crumbs and chocolate candy “turds”. It’s especially appropriate for a cat-lover’s wedding or birthday, but really it’s hard to think of an occasion when a Litterbox Cake wouldn’t hit the spot. “

Looks very tasty indeed. The full recipe is over at Tacky Living. I must make it for someones birthday. In fact it is my little sisters 16th birthday in a few weeks. Poo Toys and a Poo Cake, the perfect present.

Along my blogging journey I have come across many customs on different things. The latest custom medium is… Speakers. What a great idea. These are very cool 10″ tall custom speakers and are created by The Odd Onion. I love the outfits they are wearing. Makes them look very retro. I could not find a link for the artist so as soon as I have a link to the artist’s site I will put it up.

We all know 2 year olds are very energetic, but this is a bit more than just enegertic. Probably more along the lines of a super hyper baby. The way this baby (not even a kid yet!!!) is break dancing is enough to make most grown men and women jealous. Future B-Boy Champion? Well we will have to probably wait 20 years to find out so check back here then.

I was going come back with a big Tetris special but I found this interesting looking video. I watched it and I was amazed so I have scraped the Tetris special for this video. The creator seems to be quite a retro gaming fan, and yes even a Tetris fan. I guarantee you will be impressed. However for some reason the I can not put the video up here so you have to visit youtube to watch it.

Welcome to the second edition of the Retro Carnival. This time there is not delay and we have a very strong Retro Video Game presence this time round. So here are all this month’s entries… enjoy!

Joe Kissell presents Sea Monkeys: Interesting Thing of the Day posted at Interesting Thing of the Day
A great insight into a retro toy / pet. If you have ever wondered what Sea Monkeys are and how they exist Joe gives the full low down. The Sea Monkeys are back, but the truth is brine shrimp still don’t make good pets. Sneaky marketing strikes again.

D Kai Wilson presents Gamers, gaming and packing posted at .
D Kai remembers the days when people spent a lot of time playing many great games with the ultimate punishment, being called a gaming geek by you friends.

On the note of board games here is my entry about my favorite board game of all time

Elfs, Dwarfs, Wizards and Barbarians - It can only be one game

I was meant to write a new one, but as you probably know I have been really busy. But next time I will be posting a new article I have had in the back of my mind for a very long time. Any way enough about my problems, lets get back to the carnival

Matt presents Remembering The Nintendo Comics System posted at Press The Buttons
Mario, Zelda and Metroid comics! Surely that is a recipe for a great success. Well it turns out that in the 90s probably thought the same, but they were wrong.

Chris Dolley presents chrisdolley: Confessions of a French Film Extra posted at Author Chris Dolley’s Page
A funny tale from Chris’ work on Luc Besson’s film, Joan of Arc. Its not often you get the funny tales from an old movie set. We need to see more actors blogging about the past.

Retro Food presents Spaghetti Jello Recipe posted at Retro Food
The title is enough to make your mouth water. Another retro recipe to try out if your feeling hungy.

And Now A Melee Of Retro Video Game Articles

Gnome presents That sweetly flavor of yore… posted at Gnome’s Lair
A very detailed look at Amstrad. Amstrad is one of those companies you know exists but you just don’t know what on earth they do (or maybe everyone doea apart from me ). Well if your in my boat all is revealed at Gnomes Lair.

Tomleecee presents The Dreamcast Junkyard: Canned! posted at The Dreamcast Junkyard
There were many unreleased titles for the great Dreamcast. But why and what happened? Tomleecee tells us about some of the most popular disappearances. The Dreamcast could have been an even greater console with all these games.

mr. elderly jr. presents Impossible Mission Commodore 64 Retro posted at the elderly gamer
Who remembers the Commodore 64? I certainly do because it was my first ever console. Well most elderly gamers should remember and here is a look at the game Impossible Mission.

Arikhan presents Why I Retro Game posted at Destructoid
Every body has a reason they love video games, Well Arikhan loves playing Retro Video games and he gives 5 excellent reasons why. My favourite reason is Sound. I miss 8-bit music.

backflip10019 presents 5 SNES Games That Curb-Stomped My Arse posted at Destructoid
How many games have you completed in your life? One of the main reasons why you never completed a lot of games is because they were too damn hard. Here is 5 very hard Retro video games. How many of these did you complete? I can proudly say I completed 3 of the 4 I played from the list.

backflip10019 presents Sink or Float? Either Way, Water Levels Suck! posted at Destructoid
Another great submission from backflip10019 (yes multiple entries are allowed) this time looking at another difficulty of gaming, water levels. So it is not just me that thinks water levels are really annoying.

Wow, that was hard work. 11 Excellent entries that I should keep you busy for a while. Thanks to all bloggers that got involved and I hope I see your entries at the next edition. If your new to this and want to get involved submit your blog article to the next edition of the retro carnival using our carnival submission form.

Hey just letting everyone know I have not posted anything recently because I have been very busy with me and my sister’s latest project. It is quite a big thing (for me) and should be ready very very soon. It is a part of the Urban Retro project and I hope everyone likes what we come up with. However it is not going to effect this blog in anyway so I will still be trying my best to bring everyone cool stuff from all over the world. In the meantime there are plenty of great blogs in the link section that will keep you busy and also just to let everyone know that the 2nd Retro Carnival is very soon so get your posts in by Tuesday. More info on the Retro Carnival here.
Another thing that would be great is if anyone would be interested in writing a guest article or maybe even become a regular contributor. If your interested just get in contact and let me know of any ideas.

Posting will resume in the next few days so see you then.

This is one show I am very sad about as there is no chance I will get to go. It is the Back In The Day show where top artists will be customising retro toys. The show opens tomorrow night, 21st July, at the L Street Fine Art Gallery and is organised by Wheaty Wheat Studios. Here are some of the customs that will be there. [images via Vinyl Pulse]

What is adorable and scary? That will be the teddy bears you see in Luke Chueh’s art. He has his own solo show going on at Copra/Nason from July 15th to August 12th. Luke Chueh has got a very cool style where he manages to make cute things look very scary. But thats not all he is good at, his art work is of an amazing quality using only a few colours in each piece but he makes the most of each colour by using many different shades. Take a look at the Luke Chueh website to see what you will be missing out on if you dont visit his show.

Shan Michal Evans has kindly created two awesome banners for Urban Retro Lifestyle. It was a tough choice choosing one to go at the top but I could not reject the Pac Man one you see gracing the top of your screen right now. The other banner will soon be in its place so enjoy the Pac Man banner while it lasts. If your wondering who Shan is. He is the artist behind Tragic Magic Head. Shan has a awesome urban cartoon style evident in most of his art and has created very cool custom vinyl toys. Shan also creates some very cute (are guys allowed to say cute???) plush toys called Tragic Magic Toys. A big thanks to Shan for creating the new Urban Retro banner and if you want see more of Shan’s great work head over to the Tragic Magic Head website and dont forget to buy some Tragic Magic plush toys as well.

If you would like to create the next Urban Retro Lifestyle banner please feel free to contact me

UPDATE: Just noticed that Life in a Bungalo have done a interview with Shan aka. Squidboy
