You may have come across the books Pictoplasma and Pictoplasma 2 before, but if you have not they are books showcasing modern character design by some of the best artists around. Now the creators of the Pictoplasma series have just revealed their new book showcasing the world of vinyl toys, plush toys and any other kind of designer toys you can think of. The book is called Dot Dot Dash and is a massive 288 pages. The quality of the book looks excellent judging by the sample pages revealed. Here is a little extract from the site selling the book, explaining the creation of designer toys in a way I could only dream of without confusing myself;

“A recent trend of character applications aspiring from inherent crossovers of the character and art worlds, is also taking form in sculptures and objects, creating a new art market where artists are progressively moving beyond the boundaries of the gallery and extending their work to a largely disparate audience.”
