1up has an excellent article on video game box art from the past to the present today. The present art on covers does no really interest me because it is the retro style art work on retro video games that appeals to me. 1up have shown some great comparison of artwork for the same games from different countries. Do video game companies change the art work for marketing purposes for different countries or do they just do it for fun? That is one of the biggest gaming world mysteries for me.
