Jelly Babies have got to be one of the most famous sweets ever created. They are undeniably tasty and have been going on strong for many years. But did you know tat they were originally called Peace Babies. They were created by Bassett’s in 1918 to mark the end of World War 1. However production was stopped during World War 2, but they were relaunched in 1953 under their new name Jelly Babies. I did not know the Jelly Babies had such a great history and that makes them truly great retro sweets. If you have not tasted Jelly Babies before I suggest you had over to your nearest shop to but a pack.
