Seeing something or someone you recognize stenciled on the street is bound to get your attention and Schabloni has got a few faces you will definitely feel at home with. I love the Stewie stencil. View more stencil art photography on Schabloni’s flickr.

The aim of this Worth1000 contest is to the subject of a classic painting to a 2D cartoon character therefore creating a cartoon masterpiece. This contest reminds me of the neat things Banksy does to classic paintings and I have to say that the results are fantastic. All your favourite cartoon characters have been included such as Bugs Bunny, He-man, Taz, Goofy, Betty Boop, Cinderella, Dumbo and many more. See all the creations over at worth1000.

I always love a bit of Nintendo inspired craft and this cross stitch by CrystalPowell will show you why. This is packed with some of the best Nintendo retro goodness including Mario, Donkey Kong, Duck Hunt and Tetris. The similarity between cross stitches and pixels in games is what makes this look so good. It just a shame that you can not buy these one of pieces. [via Joystiq]

I was sent a link for this cute character’s blog last night and frankly, it cracked me up. Its a cute and very funny character by an artist named Manny Galan, from Nickelodeon. If you go to this blog and can’t see the cuteness of the character and the story in the blog journal, then there is something seriously wrong with you — just kidding, but anyway I doubt it won’t get at least a chuckle out of you!

Eric Nocella Diaz, the person that sent me the link is the sculptor of the hard version of this. Possible vinyl? I sure hope! I think I would love to have a Dookie-Poo toy in my collection!

Who do you think should win and do you agree with the winner in this video? This is one of those “what if?” moments we love to have.

Japanese art is one of the favourite styles of art. Just by looking at certain art you can see the difference in the Eastern and Western style. The Match World Virtual Museum has a gallery along with a lot information about Matches and the boxes. The mini pieces of art on the match boxes is stunning and shows how great the Eastern art culture is. [via Cardboard Monocle]
