Looks like a open source fan wanted to dampen the Windows Vista launch. This is truly is the geekiest billboard graffiti (not sure what else you can call it) you will see. [via CommandN]

Didn’t you just love the old Batman shows where everytime there was a punch or kick you would see a onomatopoeia appear on screen. This gallery of onomatopoeia screen shots is a nice little reminder of those sounds you imitated in the playground. Come to think of it I still use some of them today.

Check out the great interview theApe has done with Dr. Bao - NVC Crew over at LCSV4. If you love customs toys you will love this interview.

Well I’ve put up a few sneak peeks and hopefully have successfully whetted your appetite for the new Liberty Vinyl, part of the new Liquis Series by Erick Scarecrow. I know I’ve been very excited to get the full views and more information on it!

Per information from the press release, the Liberty Vinyl is a 12″ figure and will be released at New York Comic Con later this month. I knew this one would be hot, but even so after seeing the whole figure, I am convinced that this will be a sure sell out at comic con! If you make it to the NYCC, be sure to get yours before they do!

A traditional rug meets Space Invaders. A perfect and very original concept and boy does it look good. But wait… there is more. This is not just a rug you lay on your floor, it is a space invaders rug game. This was created Janek Simons and this is a little story about his Carpet Invaders creation;
“Janek Simon unites the old geometric designs of Caucasian and Armenian carpets with the low-resolution abstractness of the Space Invaders. The collector carpet furnishing the ethnic-design, world-cuisine magazine becomes a new shopping item for the homecoming marines and the kid back home. It is the Oriental rug for your portable arcade mosque. Follow the voice of the Joystick prophet.”

This is the best idea I have seen for a rug, for playing a game other than on a tv and also for expanding the space invaders universe. I can not wait to see if other people take this concept further. More info over at the 2020 site. [via The BBPS]

Dan Goodsell is always finding great retro illustrations and this Pillsbury Circus Party kit by Roger Bradfield does not disappoint. Not only is the illustration wonderful and very colourful, the art is designed to become 3D as a paper toy. No info on where to get this kit from or if you can even get it but if you manage to find one 1 let me know.

This Automat machine from 1969 works just like a modern day vending machine. Kids put their money in and receive their toy of choice. I am not sure why vending machines are not used more widely these days as I am sure they would work great for a large number of products, toys being one of them. Imagine a vending machine with blind box vinyl toys. [via Modern Mechanix]
Just found another theme tune recreated by Greg Patillo using a flute and beatboxing. This time it is the Super Mario Brothers theme tune and once again it is an awesome recreation. I love they ending where it slows down just like in the actual game. Can’t wait to see more…
Check out the musical talents of Greg Pattillo who is playing the flute and beatboxing at the same time to play the Inspector Gadget theme tune? I have to dedicate this to my friend Qasim with his Go Go Gadget Charm.
