This stunning diamond skull created by Damien Hirst is art at its blingest. Worth a whopping $98 it contains 8,601 diamonds, hundreds of jewels filling the nose, eye sockets and 52-carat pear-shaped stone bordered with 14 diamonds on the forehead and some not so desirable human teeth.

If you want see this diamond masterpiece in person you can do so at the Beyond Belief Exhibition at the White Cube Gallery in East London. The exhibition runs until 7th July and is based on Hirst exploring the fundamental themes of human existence – life, death, truth, love. There are also some Diamond Skull art prints available which will set you back a few thousand pounds.

1What’s beyond belief is that this bloody punter hasn’t been laughed out of the art world yet.
Only an idiot would think this kind of artwork is good. What’s next, a gold-plated turd? Oh, yeah…too late….

2Ii have it as a screen saver it is fantastic at first i wasn’t sure not because it wasn’t stunning but because it was a skull the more i looked at it the more it draws me in if you stroked the diamonds on the head it would feel like shaven hair the teeth like in a real skull but shiner than the skull but in this case they are still shiny but so is the skull this is art in its highest form if i had the money i would have bought it before it went on display it also brings out everything that man has in senses feelings touch greed jealousy you see the jealousy my friend but if you look close it looks quite happy. good art throws things at you every time you look at it. You obviously don’t get art so don’t comment!you should be happy you got to see this and the artist in real life in your life and the subject life wow!
