I love this rather dark animation, The Mesopotamians, created for the new They Might Be Giants album. To be honest I have never heard of the band but I will be keen to find out if they have more animations to go with their other songs.

1Wait, hold up, what?
You’ve never heard of They Might Be Giants?!? One of the biggest bands to emerge from Brooklyn in the past 25 years? (And yes, they’ve been around for 25 years now.) Authors of “Little Birdhouse In Your Soul,” the theme song to “Malcolm In The Middle,” and those funny little jingles Dunkin’ Donuts was running last summer? Inventors of the Dial-A-Song? Practically the godfathers of what we think of when we think of the modern indie music scene?
I’m not trying to undermine you, Tahir, but at least for me this seriously calls into question whether you’ve got your finger on the pulse of anything worthwhile. I’m sorry, but that’s a major fail in cred.
For the record, while they aren’t “official” TMBG videos, Tiny Toon Adventures did two cartoons to their songs “Particle Man” and their priceless cover of the classic “Istanbul (Not Constantinople),” both off their 1990 bestseller Flood. That’d be where I’d start getting yourself in the know. I think there was also some stop-motion animation done with Red Grooms’ sculptures for their song “Don’t Let’s Start,” which might have been off their earlier album Lincoln. I recommend you type their name into YouTube and see what you get.

2Thanks vjb2 for all the info,
I admit I am not that clued up about the whole music scene and I think a lot of what have mentioned is USA based, considering I am in the UK.
I will check out everything you have noted.
Thanks
