Milo Boys figures shown at Taichung (Taiwan) Exhibition. Apparently figures related to a Nestle product. Dig the way the hair is like the design in the product! I really like these dudes. Great find, Toys R Evil!

Seems lately the posts coming up in my reader are about a lot of Kaiju-icyness…. lol (pardon the corny pun). Here are some cool ones posted on Toybot Studios blog.

I don’t play with dolls, I don’t even collect them. But I do appreciate great artistry and the craftsmanship of some doll designs. I grew up with a mother that loves dolls and made very beautiful kimonos for her Japanese dolls, so that probably helped to form my appreciation for them but anyway…Plastic and Plush had this post about an Evangeline Ghastly doll and I couldn’t pass it up - its just so well done. I’m sure you’ll agree, even if you don’t like dolls, you should be able to see the quality work in this one!

The doll is from Wilde Imagination. The Evangeline Ghastly doll will be at the Teddy Bear and Doll Expo next weekend in D.C. along with Joe Petrollese, the doll’s creator who will be there to speak. The resin doll stands a towering 19″ and is ball-jointed and is sculpted by Robert Tonner.
Currently, you can pre-order Evaneline (limited to 750 pieces) as well as a few outfits (limited to 300 pieces each).

Thanks to a friend of mine on VTF, I was directed to this very new and possibly ground-breaking new site and toys called U.B. Funkeys. Briefly checking out the site (I plan to read more later..) I found that this is a site where you play games in worlds you unlock with different collectible U.B. Funkey characters. With a Funkey Hub hooked up to your computer, you plug in each different collectible toy and it unlocks a different world. While in these worlds, you can collect coins to purchase virtual items to do things like decorate your virtual envrionment. Sounds pretty cool to me. I think this could be addictive! Hey I might have to collect these! Maybe even let my kids play with them ROFL!

Raz Liebreich recently graduated with a degree in industrial design and his last assignment was dolls. This is the result, and if you ask me, probably a well deserved degree! Congrats Raz!

Kidrobot has just announced its snagged licensing to do Adult Swim characters from Cartoon Network. We all know how popular Adult Swim is with many viewers on Cartoon Network so I have no doubt if done right, these can really take off. I see this as something that is very good news for everyone in mind. Cartoon Network, Kidrobot, toy collectors and Cartoon Network fans. Consider all of those that may be Adult Swim watchers, but haven’t been exposed to the toy community. Could be a good thing indeed.
Kidrobot will develop figurines for a portfolio of characters featured during Adult Swim’s lineup. Starting in February 2008, 3-inch Blind Box mini figures will be available for fans willing to take a chance on what character they actually get inside. The chances of getting a particular figure are listed as percentage rates on the side of each branded box. All figures are wrapped in foil to prevent anyone from sneaking a peek at which character is featured, maintaining the experience and value to the line of figures. Kidrobot will feature 16-20 different figures per series, and be made available in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Latin America

Here’s the lowdown on the recent “sneak peek” revealed by Esc Toy. The Soopa Bros toy prototype is at SDCC 2007 and set to be released Q4 2007. It stands approx. 7″ tall and will initially be released as a DIY platform. The cool thing is it will be a seriously popular toy IMO for all the older guys like me that grew up in the arcades wasting our quarters trying to keep those pesky ufos from taking all your humans or getting as many pellets as you could while running from ghosts.. heh.

Erick Scarecrow happens to be a serious fan of arcade games and hence this toy’s creation. Personally I can’t wait to get my hands on a case or two of these.. haha.I t’s at the Dke Toys booth #4832.

Would you want to be the one to face this lady? She looks prepared to do whatever it’ll take to get her way if you ask me! LOL. This Cow by Frank Cho and produced my MINDstyle stands a whopping 24″ tall - yet another in the line of the XLarge sized toys coming out by MINDstyle. Its rather fitting though, she just needs that kind of size to command the attention she deserves, dontcha think?
