I Can’t thing on many uses of the classic Atari joystick shape that have looked as good as this Atari Joy candle holder. The fact that is white makes it even more interesting and adds a certain modern feel to it. Just make sure the kids don’t get confused when it alight. You see a lot of retro wallpaper these days that simply use old style patterns. Some can be cool but none if you really want a retro style wallpaper without going completely vintage then I recommend you take take a look at the small yet stunning range offered by Nama Rococo. They actually come as sheets so you can have just one single piece or fill an entire wall. They have some bold designs with strong colours but they all look superb and will give you that modern retro feel you might be searching for.

Take a tour back in time and look at some of Europe’s worst interiors from the mid 70s. However I can not help but feel that some of this so called retro ugliness is what is coming back into fashion.

Everyone would love to live in a house based on their favourite cartoon such as the Flinstones house.. but it in all honesty that is a bit extreme. However thanks to Crooked House kids can live the dream of having their own house which looks like it has just be teleported straight out of a cartoon. There are various houses to choose from including some great themes, my favourite being the Castle theme.

Eric Harshbarger has created these stunning LEGO sculptures which fit into any fun loving persons house perfectly. The LEGO desk is built out of approximately 35,000 LEGO bricks and weighs roughly 120 pounds. If you think the desk is impressive in my opinion it does not compare to the LEGO grandfather clock. Eric is a true LEGO master.

LEGO is not just a toy these days as people have some amazing uses for such a simple toy brick. the LEGO salt and pepper shaker may not be an amazing device but it sure is a clever use of the plastic LEGO brick by designer Joel Hesselgren. The instructions below show exactly how to position the brick depending on when if you want salt, pepper or both. Yet another addition to your retro style home.

Every child gets fascinated with bright lights and this Jellio Lite Table is the perfect table to amuse your inner child. It is simply a 18″ cubed table with 100 large acrylic pegs which light up. If the colour pattern just does not seem right then you can move the pegs in any pattern you like. Beware however for 2 reasons… firstly staring at the lights for too long might may do funny things to your brain and secondly it costs a whopping $600. Apart from that I have a feeling all you retro lovers will be looking to snap this up.

You have probably thrown out all your audio tapes and thought that was the last you saw of those ugly things… Ugly? Not a chance because audio cassette tapes are making a comeback. However you wont be using them to play your music but instead they will be there to add some style. First we had the cassete tape wallets and we have the soon to be released J-me audio tape tape dispenser which shouts vintage style. Although I was hoping the tape would come out from the other side where the tape reel usually runs, it does not take away from the fact that this quite a clever use of the audio tape mechanics.
