“This is the first collection of paintings I’ve exhibited for some years. A culmination of ideas evolved and developed over time drawing influences from old and new psychedelic music, mutations, record shopping and my own alternate reality project Monsterism Island. The show includes paintings, large and small using a candy coloured palette quite unlike work I have previously produced with paint. I love being sent links to new art work by artists (that’s a hint to drop me more emails) and I really enjoyed the new work by Ric Stultlz which features a very cool space man type character and various creatures. The white background may not be everyones taste but I think it really gives each piece a dreamy feel.

Take a glimpse at some of my favourite art pieces from one of the hottest shows G1988 has ever put on. Under The Influence is a tribute show to Stan Lee who is a god in the Marvel comics universe. The range of artists G1988 manage to get is simply incredible and its amazing to see so many different styles used to recreate many Marvel characters. A big congratulations goes out to Ben the Illustrator for the first ever Speakerdog exhibition. The exhibition features tons of superb looking new work including large-format illustrated prints, paper toys, plush toys, customised vinyl toys, hand-painted canvasses, wood and mirrors! Its great to see Speakerdog in so many different forms and once again Ben shows how great he is with implement bold and bright colours in how work.

Gusti has created these adorable animals using what appears to be a collage style using various mediums and objects. You have to take a close look at every piece to really appreciate the great attention to detail the artist have achieved. See if you can work out what objects have been used to create the various details… such as the screw heads for the nose on the monkey. [via Drawn]
