Seeing masterpieces recreated with a little twist is always fun to see such as when Lego Met Fine Art. Bat blog has some great images showing Batman adding inspiration to some very famous pieces of art by artists such as Van Gogh and MC Escher.

The hilarious south park characters have been fitted with 1000s of different outfits by fans worldwide ever since South Park blessed our televisions sets. I love mash up of videos games and this is one of the best animations I have seen using video game characters. The battle goes on for a while and the whole time I was sucked in by the action, it actually feels like a movie battle scene. The animation features characters from Metroid and Halo and has Matrix written all over it… Superb!!!

The aim of this Worth1000 contest is to the subject of a classic painting to a 2D cartoon character therefore creating a cartoon masterpiece. This contest reminds me of the neat things Banksy does to classic paintings and I have to say that the results are fantastic. A group of World of Warcraft fans have created this neat video using the WOW game to mimic a few Mario levels. The lava and water sections are extra cool and I wouldn’t mind playing this just to bring something new to my Mario memories.
