How To Show Your Love For Pac-Man

Pac-man has a huge following but I don’t expect many people to show this much love towards Pac-Man. The only disappointing thing is the ugly looking ghost in the middle and the fact that there is no Pac-Man, Only the map??? Well the reason is that it is quite a deep story behind the tattoo.

“The reason is because in life, there are so many paths that you can take, paths that you take that might lead to a dead end and paths that you take that might take you to happiness. In the centre of life (of the tattoo) is what I want to achieve is an arduous path of life. Some might not be able to live to find it, and some will find it. That is the meaning of my tattoo. Notice the void in the middle of my tattoo. I’m leaving it blank until the day I found my true self… and then I will put something in it.”

Ok now I am confused. Is this actually a Pac-Man fan with a Pac-Man tattoo?

300 Mashups - Pokemon And Mario

The 300 trailer was almost as amazing as the actual movie and it caused a large number of mashups. The 300 pokemon mashup is my favourite the hundreds out there as it superbly made. A Mario mashup was guaranteed but the comic strip 300 Mario mashup by VGCats gets top marks.

Post-It Notes Become Donkey Kong Level

There is quite a lot you can do with post-it notes these days. Well actually there isn’t so its refreshing to see that these students done something so creative with a whole load of multi coloured Post-it notes. The post-its were accurately placed on the inside of windows over 4 floors acting as giant pixels to recreate a Donkey Kong level. The stats of the project are quite amazing as it was completed in only 5 hours by 10 people. You can view all the pics and more information at the UCSC website.

Long Live The Dreamcast

The Dreamcast was only alive for 3 years, a fact I only learnt today, but in true gamers heart it is still a well respected console. Te Dreamcast as you probably know was Sega’s last ever console which was quite a sad time but its good to see Sega is still alive and kicking with some great games and arcade machines. CVG has put together a great article covering The rise and fall of the Dreamcast. A interesting read which may persuade to dig up a Dreamcast from somewhere.

Pac-Man Looking Ever So Tasty

Pac-Man is a character everyone loves to recreate in different ways and Smidigt has compiled a list of Pac-Man used in various food creations. Good to see that Pac-Man cakes are created in more ways than just cutting a slice out.

A Giant Nintendo Round Up

There is so much going with Nintendo these days (mostly positive which is great) and there is probably a lot you have missed out on. Not to worry as I am here to bring you all the news and gossip related to Urban Retro Lifestyle.

The art of Wii - Six unique visions. One Unique experience

Handmade Nintendo Kicks - We all now you want these even if they are for women.

Gorgeous Nintendo Lunch Creations - Ok now some children are just too damn lucky

Super Smash Brothers 64 Commercial - I want those costumes for a fancy dress party.

Super Doom Mario - Mash up heaven. This is silly but cool

Giant mario statue - Wake up with Mario looking over you

Line Rider does Mario World 1-1 - I keep hearing great things about line rider and if it always this cool I will have to look into it further.

LEGO Bot Playing Wii Bowling - Is there nothing you cant do with LEGO. Mind you I do find the bowling game quite boring on the Wii. If only it played Wii tennis.

Super Mario Bros. 2 Percussion Blow-Out! - I will never get bored of hearing retro game theme tunes being played on different instruments.

Nintendo Museum Treasures - First sketches of Mario are a must see.

The History of Pokemon - I will never forget Pokemon red for my gameboy. One of the few games I was addicted to and actually played in my boring French lessons at school

NiGHTS sequel finally confirmed - I am SOOO excited. I was a massive fan of NiGHTS on the Saturn and a sequel with be to die for.

Zelda Reorchestrated - Zelda music has never sounded so good.

Sonic & Mario finally team up for a game - No this is not a April fools prank.

The History Of Final Fantasy

I am no Final Fantasy expert seeing as though I have only played (and struggled with) Final Fantasy VII but I do know that the Final Fantasy series is classed as quite possibly the greatest RPG series out there (Zelda fans will surely disagree). This video gives an excellent history lesson of all the games and its got me itching to go and play some Final Fantasy. It is amazing to see how the Final Fantasy series has moved on since Final Fantasy I. [via The Last Boss]
