Pixeloo has bought 2 loved cartoon and video game characters to life with some awesome Photoshop skills. The Mario image looks super cool while the Homer image just creeps me out. I can not wait to see what character is kicked in to the real world next.

This video by Romanywg is a great insight in to how popular Banksy really is by filming a new Banksy piece for an hour to see the publics reaction. [via ESPVisuals]

Any FAILE or street art lovers have to check out this Q & A with FAILE over at Broke Ya Neck. I am loving the FAILE vibe for art and hope they come to the UK in 2008.

I love being sent links to new art work by artists (that’s a hint to drop me more emails) and I really enjoyed the new work by Ric Stultlz which features a very cool space man type character and various creatures. The white background may not be everyones taste but I think it really gives each piece a dreamy feel.

Take a glimpse at some of my favourite art pieces from one of the hottest shows G1988 has ever put on. Under The Influence is a tribute show to Stan Lee who is a god in the Marvel comics universe. The range of artists G1988 manage to get is simply incredible and its amazing to see so many different styles used to recreate many Marvel characters. You can view all the art work from the show here.

I love the style of Os Gemeos’s work especially the colours and detailing he has used. The piece above works so well with setting the characters on a wall where you could actually imagine them standing. Superb find by Kitsunenoir.

ANSI art not to be confused with pixel art is a trend from the 80s which could be making a come back thanks to events such as the upcoming ANSI art exhibition in San Francisco early next year. I have to say there is not much difference to pixel art if you do not look carefully but it does seems to be a more complicated process to create. I can not wait to see ANSI art in the future.
