There are a few animations inspired by the art of MC Escher but none that I have seen compare to Hallucii by Goo-Shun Wang. Not only is the animation and concept / story of the short animation superb but the ending is simply brilliant and actually makes you feel sorry for the character. Seeing masterpieces recreated with a little twist is always fun to see such as when Lego Met Fine Art. Bat blog has some great images showing Batman adding inspiration to some very famous pieces of art by artists such as Van Gogh and MC Escher.
