Bio: Born in south central Pennsylvania, Matthew grew up in the small town of Hanover, adjacent to Gettysburg. At the quintessential age of 18, he moved up and out, north and east, to New York City and enrolled in classes at Pratt Institute. It was there that he received his BFA in illustration, as well as a vast array of student loans. After interning for a small time at the Society of Illustrators, he realized that even the most famous artists he met were completely down to earth, and he thought that maybe he too could be a part of this wonderful group of people. He was right. Matthew’s work can be seen in countless publications around the world, all done from his cozy studio is Brooklyn, New York, where he currently resides with his love, Katie, and their cats, Rocket and Bean.

The beauty of Transformers is that with a little bit of imagination almost anything can be a Transformer. Nike has proved this by creating these awesome Nike Free 7.0 Megatron and Convoy Transformers. They come complete with a Nike x Transformers box and when they are in their trainer / sneaker form they look super realistic.

If you have a idea for a Transformer then why not add it to the list of Photoshop Transformers at Something Awful. There are some great Transformers ideas already including some very clever ones like the Rubiks cube Transformer. [via Smidigt]
