Transformers can do a lot more than fight as Soundwave proves by showing off his breakdance skills. Now I need to find this transformers theme tune remix for my iPod.

“I am Optimus Prime, Leader of the Autobots!”.. and now you can own him if you a few dollars lying around. It comes with some neato accessories with the best being the Voice activated alarm, with the voice of Optimus Prime on lock and unlock mode.

Cardboard Monocle have put together a superb list of 10 of their best and 10 of their worst movie ideas for remakes of retro cartoons. With retro cartoons becoming more and more popular with a huge thanks to the awesome Transformers movies I wonder how many of these cartoons will one day be a movie. I just want to say I am ashamed to know about and have seen Jem. Go read The Best & Worst 80s Cartoon Movie Concepts entry.

Indulge yourself at the gallery of hand transformed PEZ by Atypyk and bask at the delightful results. I love the fact that modifications are very subtle and refined.

When staying at a hotel you expect most of the rooms to look the same but the Baby Grand Hotel have a different idea.. and that’s why they present to you the Smurf suite. The Smurfs is a classic cartoon featuring the cutest blue creatures aroundand the hotel room seems to have captured that cartoon feel magnificently.

If the Smurfs suite is just a bit too childish for you then you have a choice of graffiti rooms to stay in.
“The Baby Grand Hotel brings together all that makes Athens unique: history, culture, innovation, and diversity. 10 international artists from the fields of urban art, graffiti design and illustration transformed Baby Grand, into Europe’s most exciting and creative city hotel.”
quoted from the Baby Grand Hotel website.

With Transformers taking over the world at the moment you were sure to find a cake expert showing their love for the robots. That is where is the Flying Cat comes in and shows us how you make a Optimus Prime cake worthy of the ultimate transformer. The project took 2 days and the finished cake reflects that… however it does not actually transform so all you fussy fans will probably not be too impressed.
As everyone waits for the upcoming and awesome looking Transformers movie some people are keeping themselves busy by pretending to be actual transformers. [Thanks Darren]

You probably did not think you were learning anything while watching cartoons when you were younger. However the truth is that some cartoons from the 80’s and 90’s actually unintentionally taught us a few lessons. Cracked have put together a list of 8 Important Lessons Learned from ’80s Cartoons. The lesson that Popeye taught us that spinach is good for you, is the reason I us to love to eat spinach as a child and even enjoy it to this day.

The other lessons are also relevant but I just hope that the lesson we are supposed to have learned from Transformers does not come true, in a Battlestar Galactica kind of way.
