Wow 30 years of Space Invaders and and you can celebrate it by getting some Space Invader towels. They may not be the most innovative products but you cant beat a cool towel and since I have never owned a Black towel now might be the perfect time to start. Pick yours up for under $20 here.

This has got to be one of the most enjoyable live performances ever especially for all you vintage game lovers. Watch it and you will be amazed at how many different games they fit in and at how close to the original music they orchestrated.

The “Gaming magazines of the pre-Internet era living happy online lives” guide will show you how to your hands on some free downloadable video game magazines. Its a shame that Mean Machines magazines are not in full and are only the reviews.

By ultra modern I mean totally ruined… I am sure you really do not want to see the new Mario and Luigi like this and what makes it worse we do not know what they are going on about… but 1up gave the translation a try.

What a great idea to promote the Computer Game Museum in Berlin.. use scaffolding to great a larger than life level of a game that a major part of video game history, Donkey Kong. Now if only this was a giant playable level we would really be in classic gaming heaven. [via Aeropause]

Spit & Polish was something all custom toy fans have been dreaming about for a very long time. Doktor A finally got the solo show he deserves and boy did he live up to the expectation with some magnificent custom pieces. The highlight of show for me is the custom Soopa Coin Op Bros titled “The Secret History of Video Games: Pac Gentleman”.

This is what Doktor A had to say about the piece;
“When this game was first released in 1880 it was so hugely popular in taverns and inns that the bank of England was forced to mint more threepenny bits to keep up with demand. The game was created by messrs Nam & Nam and Co. as a novelty pastime for the masses. Outdoing the previous top public house game of Shove Ha’penny. “

I remember all the hype behind Final Fantasy VII when it was released and it is no surprise then that 10 years on it would be celebrated. However a limited edition FF VII potion is not something I was expecting. Not that I am complaining because the bottle it comes in is something I am sure all FF VII die hards would love to get their hands on.
