Dave Pressler’s new Stupid Little Robot Buddy was released at SDCC at Munky King’s booth #4639. This is a 2″ resin cast toy and as you can see it is very nicely packaged and is well designed overall. Definitely one to jump on though since there will only be 35 of these puppies available! They are hand made, signed and numbered by Dave too… don’t miss it.

With Transformers taking over the world at the moment you were sure to find a cake expert showing their love for the robots. That is where is the Flying Cat comes in and shows us how you make a Optimus Prime cake worthy of the ultimate transformer. The project took 2 days and the finished cake reflects that… however it does not actually transform so all you fussy fans will probably not be too impressed.
As everyone waits for the upcoming and awesome looking Transformers movie some people are keeping themselves busy by pretending to be actual transformers. [Thanks Darren]

Bio: Well, I can usually be found working from my studio in Milwaukee,WI, slinging paint and ink. When I am not working away in the wee hours of the night with my music going, I am jetting off with my wife and dog to save the world from some robot menace or an evil genius. Yes, yes, my life can be VERY hectic at times!
Art Category / Medium: I am mainly a painter, but I also like to work with customizing toys, sculpture, and screen printing.

There is a nice collection of retro robot toy head photos by Lockwasher over at flickr. Its amazing how much effort goes into the heads of the toys making each robot unique.
