Space Invader Invasion London & Rubik Bad Men II
Lazarides Gallery - London, UK
5th October - 9th November 2007
Space Invader’s new exhibition will be his first London solo exhibition. The French artist has filled the streets with pixellated mosaic tiles of his work inspired by the original game, spreading them over the walls of more than 35 of the world’s biggest cities in the last ten years alone.

If you have trouble solving the Rubik’s Cube then not to worry because the Rubik’s Cube cake is a lot simpler to solve. Just cut a piece of the cake, open your mouth, eat and enjoy. Oh I forgot to mention before you eat you have to make it and full instruction are over at the Rubik’s Cube Cake recipe at Pimp That Snack. [via Neatorama]
I thought I was a clever child but this baby who solves the Rubik’s cube just kills anything I have ever achieved.

How cool is this, a space invader street art piece made out 323 rubiks cubes. Space invaders is quite a popular theme for street art these days but this is easily the best of the lot. Its great that artists keep coming up with original ideas for what medium to use to create their art. [Images via Wooster Collective].

Below is a similar idea but not as well executed because it is just a few stickers.

Apparently there is a mathematical theorem that allows you to solve the Rubik’s cube in 22 turns from any starting position. But “surprise surprise” no one has has managed to prove this theorem yet. So instead someone else has given a detailed explanation on how to solve the Rubik’s cube easily. Well its still not that easy. I think I will see if my sister the maths expert can solve it and make sense of this. You can read the details at Doing The Cube
