Here’s the lowdown on the recent “sneak peek” revealed by Esc Toy. The Soopa Bros toy prototype is at SDCC 2007 and set to be released Q4 2007. It stands approx. 7″ tall and will initially be released as a DIY platform. The cool thing is it will be a seriously popular toy IMO for all the older guys like me that grew up in the arcades wasting our quarters trying to keep those pesky ufos from taking all your humans or getting as many pellets as you could while running from ghosts.. heh.

Erick Scarecrow happens to be a serious fan of arcade games and hence this toy’s creation. Personally I can’t wait to get my hands on a case or two of these.. haha.I t’s at the Dke Toys booth #4832.

Would you want to be the one to face this lady? She looks prepared to do whatever it’ll take to get her way if you ask me! LOL. This Cow by Frank Cho and produced my MINDstyle stands a whopping 24″ tall - yet another in the line of the XLarge sized toys coming out by MINDstyle. Its rather fitting though, she just needs that kind of size to command the attention she deserves, dontcha think?

Dave Pressler’s new Stupid Little Robot Buddy was released at SDCC at Munky King’s booth #4639. This is a 2″ resin cast toy and as you can see it is very nicely packaged and is well designed overall. Definitely one to jump on though since there will only be 35 of these puppies available! They are hand made, signed and numbered by Dave too… don’t miss it.

Attaboy’s very limited (Only 20) edition Qwezshuns won’t last a day I’ll bet. Why do I say that? Well, they very very limited, they are hand painted, They come with a very cool wooden box that has the edition number cut out of the side, and well, they are cool characters! Hurry if you want one. $300 each.

ToyQube seems to have quite the list of toys to be released/shown at SDCC this year. They are definitely going to be one of the more popular booths at the convention.. Here are just my favorites from the group. Kaniza, Dark Mole and Andrew Bell’s Lotus Kanser.

Some of the Toy Tokyo releases at SDCC 2007. Of course my favorite being Liberty, but the other two are not far behind!

Tokyo Plastic’s Geisha Octopus from Toy Tokyo. She stands 12″ tall and is bigger than life wearing her very cool headphones and her geisha outfit. The Geisha figure comes from TokyoPlastic’s original animation from their very cool flash website. A very popular figure already, the super-sized version won’t last long at SDCC. It will be released at the TT booth, starting July 26th - only 15 per day. The price is set at $74.99, and worth every penny, no doubt.
