Whenever I receive an email from Erick at Esc-Toy the little kid inside me gets very excited because I know he will be showing something very cool, unique and exciting. Esc-Toy are dropping some of the hottest toys I have seen so far this year at this years NYCC. The new Kissaki figure and 3 colourways of the new Old School Kaiju figure Dizign (which is amazing) which all stand at 10″ tall will be exclusives at the show with very limited numbers.

There will also be a few other treats so check all the images below and visit Esc-Toy for more info about the show schedule.

After being mesmerised by the Doktor A Spit & Polish Soopa Coin-Up I got a bit excited by the possibility of seeing even more awesome Soopa Coin-Up customs at the upcoming Soopa Show in New York. The best thing is there is a small chance I may actually be able to attend the show. Make sure you check out the Soopa Coin-Up website and a great interview with the creator Erick Scarecrow.

These outrageous yet superb Lincoln Kubriks are from a Japanese TV program that is created by the Geinin, Of the Geinin, for the Geinin… Geinin meaning people who are famous because they are on TV. I sound like have deep knowledge of Japanese but I just got the info and images from Toybot Studios.

About The Show: Behold, the greatest and only plastic octopus themed artistic event the world has ever seen! Because we are self indulgent narcissists, we thought it only fair to try and milk the release of our beloved Lefty toy for all its worth, and what better a way to do that than invite 30 of our favorite artists and closest friends to play pimp-my-lefty and then exhibit the finished pieces for the world to see. Artists include Jeremyville, Julie west, Jeremiah Ketner, DGPH, Mike Burnett, Mr Jago and many more

Spit & Polish was something all custom toy fans have been dreaming about for a very long time. Doktor A finally got the solo show he deserves and boy did he live up to the expectation with some magnificent custom pieces. The highlight of show for me is the custom Soopa Coin Op Bros titled “The Secret History of Video Games: Pac Gentleman”.

This is what Doktor A had to say about the piece;
“When this game was first released in 1880 it was so hugely popular in taverns and inns that the bank of England was forced to mint more threepenny bits to keep up with demand. The game was created by messrs Nam & Nam and Co. as a novelty pastime for the masses. Outdoing the previous top public house game of Shove Ha’penny. “

Check out the rest of the customs below and any custom toy artists out there take note. The show runs until Nov 31st at Cardboard Spaceship in California, USA.

StrangeCo have officially released info about the new 1″ Cactus Pups designed by Tokidoki and the green Slither by Touma. Both awesome looking toys with a cartoon feel to the designs… but it really is a case of utter cuteness against pure evil.

Tokidoki continues his line of cute creations with the new Cactus Friends, Carina and Bruttino, a new series of mini cactus friend dogs and plush versions of the Adios and Ciao Ciao toys. Anyone following the cactus friends series will be happy to see that new colours have been added to the range… I have to say I love the blue bruttino colourway.

Considering the Carina and Bruttino are only 2″ tall the mini cactus dogs are going to be some of the smallest designer toys around.

Adios and Ciao Ciao have thankfully made a good transition to Plush Toys but I am not to sure they are worth buying over the vinyl versions.
